I argued about this with a fellow Giants fan:

Football is tough to play, but not hard to figure out. To build a great team, it all starts up front with the big boys, The O-line and D-line. Then you go after your franchise QB. On the offensive side of the ball, You have these GMs who try to reinvent the wheel for bad franchises. They sign all these big name players but never address their problems on the O-line. It pains me to see young QBs not developing properly because of a bad line. Look what happened to Joe Burrow. He's a DOG now, but in his rookie year, the Bengals never built a solid line to protect him. By week 11, Burrow is being carried off the field with a torn ACL and MCL. Eventually, they gave him some help and now he's one of the best in the league.

The Jets, knowing Rodgers is coming off a torn Achilles, never fixed their issues on the O-line. It shows in the passing game AND running game. You can fire the head coach, GM, trade players, bench players, none of it matters. Until that franchise gets a competent GM who knows the fundamentals of pro football and will focus on fixing the O-line, you can expect the Giants, Jets, Bears and other franchises to continue to look bad.

Not enough focus on Mara. He is the only constant in the decade of pathetic for this franchise. He is a toxic owner, and this is a toxic culture he has set where no one can find any form of sustained success. He has become the new James Dolan in New York sports, rivaled by Woody Johnson with the Jets. He needs to recuse himself as President/CEO and go hide away on the golf course. He thinks he knows football but he has done nothing but broke this once proud franchise, and spit on his fanbase. Its quite a shame us Giants fans have to subject ourselves to this garbage on a consistent basis.

As a gaints fan i'm happy this is happening to us because we deserve it. The way we treat our star players is disrespectful. Daboll can't coach, schoen has no idea whats he doing, and our team is so hurt and broken i feel for bad for them. That why nabers said those things in that interview. They have no hope in that locker room and no leader in there to give them hope.

Nabers told Daboll and the entire coaching staff during the draft interviews. All what he is saying now is what he told them back then. If the Giants want to tank for a good draft pick than do it but at least give your #1 offensive player a reason to play. You can still feed him, play good games, and then lose.
