Polls have closed in the key US state of Georgia as Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are projected to pick up early wins in Kentucky and Vermont.

Democracy and the economy are the most important issues for voters, early exit polls suggest.

Americans are also picking members of the US Congress, and some states are voting on abortion rights.
