Hello Tui, I am in Garland, Tx and we met at the Dallas Genealogical Society Seminar where you were a speaker. Loved the video and I will be watching it again also. There is an old cemetery in Sunnyvale which I have wanted to visit and you have inspired me to go check it out this week or next. If it looks interesting I will let you know after my visit.

Dayton Ohio. And if you ever get up here you must go visit Woodland Cemetery and arboretum. So much great history and amazing monuments. We have the Wright bros of course but we also have Matilda Stanley the Gypsy queen and her husband.

Hi Tui, enjoyed the episode.interesting info about the meaning of the symbols/ornaments on the markers. Comin g from Europe ( Netherlands ) we have some very old graveyards/ cemeteries.Some of them still in use, others gated and not accessable any more. Shame because these have the most beautiful markers.Found old markers from the 1700's ( photographed them ).Historic society decided to clear the area from trees, plantlife.Now in the proces of documenting the markers.After that they are going to do research in old church registers to find more info about families & the history.Enjoy your books as well Tui. Looking forward for new & interesting episodes.
