It's been amazing watching Fnatic this year, they have truly proved themselves to be a top tier team ever since MSI. Even though I'm from NA I'll be pulling for them at worlds, of course I want TSM to win but they have no chance lol

So Trundle support.... I am not sure how I feel about this. I would say this isn't a troll pick if anyone is thinking that. Reason why is that Fnatic don't build troll comps, they build comps to see if they can work and last week they brought out Riven to counter Rumble. They used Jarvan to engage and split push with. And this week... Well Trundle and I will talk more about this pick.

But to the other picks. Glad they brought out Fizz for Huni in the top lane. Another carry top that does very well against Maokai. I wanted to see this all split and Fnatic brought it out which is good to see. And this is Huni's 10th different champion THIS split. People were talking about Odoamne's vast champion pool of last split. This split Huni is showing that same variety but on carry tops.

I thought Febiven's Twisted Fate was better this time. Used his ultimate more effectively. People are being critical on reddit about his card selection but if they need to go that far to be critical of Febiven's TF then you can. I still think his TF is improving and its a possible good pick for some of the comps Fnatic are building.

And the Tristana. I think a lot of people are underrating this Trist and how effective she can be as a laner and then going into the mid game and forward. She isn't counter comped in many match ups and she can be very effective in a 2v2. With a Trundle I am not so confident, but outside this pick I think Tristana will be a huge factor at Worlds. I am glad Fnatic are playing with this carry more to set up some comps with.

So lets go back to Trundle. Yes Trundle support 2v2 will probably mean a very bad laning phase for anyone taking this. Trundle has been played in the Taiwan region, so I can't really say how good It is since I don't watch it. But right off the bat you know the laning phase is going to be problematic. So what do Fnatic do? Normally you don't see Fnatic initiating the lane swap. They prefer to go standard and quite often its the other team that will initiate the lane swap to try to keep Huni down. Fnatic this time around initiated the lane swap and put Reekles top to get him out of the 2v2 match up. But instead of allowing Huni to suffer in a bad situation where he could be shut down by the Corki lane, they bring Huni top and push the tower down and then bounce the wave giving the wave to Huni as they normally do. Reekles and Yellowstar then go bot into the 2v2 match up that is unfavorable to them. But again, Fnatic responds to this by calling in Reignover to gank bottom. Usually we see Reignover either in mid or top ganking but rarely bot. This time Reignover comes to bot and ganks it and then Reekles gets first blood and then the laning phase is much more manageable.

After this point, Trundle starts becoming more effective. As a roamer, his ability to drop his pillars to knock up opponents and slow them becomes a key disengage and even engage tool for Fnatic as they demonstrated in this game. Because Trundle can steal MR and Armor away from the main tank, he is essentially a soft counter to any front line tank for the opposing team. Pretty much 3 of his abilities deals slow effects plus his pillar knocks up opponents. So Trundle is effective at chasing down or disengaging for his team.

Do I think Trundle is a serious pick for Fnatic? Yes I do. I do because they are looking at Korea and Maokai is a big champion over there. For Fnatic they don't mind giving over power picks so long as they build counters to them in their compositions. Your not going to see Fnatic ban Rumble or Ryze, what Fnatic like to do is target ban a player's champion pool and they do this with great effect. But what Fnatic love to do is set up counters to what the other team are doing. And this comp is practice. Is a Trundle an effective counter to heavy tank line that SK brought to the game. Since they had a Maokai and a Gragas. Could they counter this with a Trundle. Its a good way to figure things out since Fnatic are guaranteed top spot. So why not experiment.

I feel that tomorrow Fnatic will try to bring their A game because it is their perfect season and why ruin it by using that last game as a practice. I think we will see more standard picks tomorrow.
