This should be seen by Anti-Catholic Protestants since most of them refuse to believe the Holy Sacraments and also they believed that priests has no power to fight the devils.

The first mistake that Livingston did was to be uncharitable to a traveler in need, esp since he declared he refused to help the man because the man was Catholic

The land was left to the diocese with the agreement that the land would be used by the Catholic Church. If this land was not used within that 99 years the land would revert to the family.
There was a campy looking church building on the land for a long time, but it became deserted and unused. (the wooden tabernacle, ended up in the stream as a table to cut bait, )At some point the diocese realized they were going to lose the land and built priest field conference center, which was originally a retreat center.
The retreat center has morphed several times also to the point of the diocese musing actually selling the property!
Fortunately, now the local parish Saint James in Charles Town manages it somewhat, reviving it with less new agey influence and more actual Catholicism.
Living about 30 minutes from there back in the late 60s early 70s our family would visit the deserted fields and pray the rosary. My mother had learned the story from our local pastor in Leesburg back in the 50s.

Thanks for another great show, Christine. I do have one question. Isn’t it customary for a priest to give an apostolic pardon/blessing when we are dying? When my mother was dying the priest administered all that you mentioned in this show, but he also administered the apostolic pardon.
