I was prepping for the eclipse this week and I wanted to know where to stand in relation to a building I want in the photo. This helped me estimate the distance from the building in relation to the Moon's elevation! Good stuff!

Thank you so much! I just bought a new ti-84 Plus CE and am learning how to use it. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong, and it turns out I hadn't switched my calculator to degree mode before using the tangent button. I got -12.11 entering 10/tan(59), I had to enter 10/tan(59°) to get the correct answer. A bit confused 🤔. Using TI nspre cxII CAS.
