Social media made most of the people just buying pedals and fx to make pictures and videos (or resell). Live performance and the sound are secondary nowadays. Unfortunately.

While I don't use every pedal all the time, and I can't imagine playing through all my effects switched on at once (though now I'm tempted!), I feel I've got my two boards arranged to handle all the music I want to play, so no pedal will just sit around gathering dust. The only categories in which I've gone a little crazy are overdrive and reverb, as I have three of each, but my OCD (the pedal, not my personal condition ;)) is set as a clean boost. The upshot is that I can play through either board by itself, or with both connected, or with *GASP* no effects at all. Now that nothing more can fit on either board, I'm not at all tempted to acquire any more pedals :)

This is another reason why I love my Cyber Twin. It has 12AX7 tube pre, solid state power, and DSP effects with a midi controller. Are they perfect? No, but I like plugging straight into my amp, I don't use a wireless either. I want to hear the guitar, not the pedal board with all the insertion loss. I don't know why, but pedal boards always sound nasally to me.

Are you going to do a review about the fender power supplies LVL12, LVL8, LVL5? because I'm curious how good are they or how noisy they are. The fender pedalboards are new and coming out so they might sell a lot of them

I use this very same rule. The output of my Vertex Boost and the input of my El Capistan becomes my “loop.”
