When Aniello Desiderio plays Koyunbaba it sends shivers down my spine. His right hand is so damn powerful. I saw him live, more than ten years ago and he played part IV as an encore and it blew me away. It was as if he had hidden a Marshall stack inside of his completely unamplified guitar.

I just saw him do this in Boston last night--absolutely enchanting. He also did, as a last-minute change to the program, a suite of dances by Gaspar Sanz that he ended with the famous "Canarios" and then the cadenza written for it by Joaquin Rodrigo that brought the house down. He is a monster.

I sent him an email once to ask what strings he is using. He was so kind to respond:
"I use Daddario Dinacore for Bass extra hard and G and B carbon Daddario hard and E nylon extra hard Daddario " ) No wonder he can be so loud withour losing clarity.

Excellent interpretation. Normally i would frown on the performer adding and neglecting parts of a written piece, but i think this worked really well and retained its flavour,
