I really wish she had added that last extra chorus with the last whistle and a few others ending this gem. That last whistle leads me to believe the original studio recording didn’t just end where it does, I believe she went crazy with that whistle maybe one day she will release it

I love the ‘ you and me in a cloud of reverie part, over n over n over n over, . All that harmonising in that little chapter of the song is so gorgeous, the talent of having such a beautiful voice that she can actually record all of those backing vocals herself with different notes and low tones.. she’s magical. For many years I had no idea she does all of her backing vocals herself.

THIS LOVELY VOCALLY-LAYERED SONG FASCINATES ME to no end.

For a long time I really believed some mystery girl with sweet innocent luscious vocals started duetting with Mariah at around 1:11 (with Mariah staying with the low voice path she started the song with). Then mystery girl gloriously erupting and taking center stage starting 1:36 onwards (so nice and brilliantly creative of Mariah to design the vocal harmony like that!). I must confess I enjoy this song more, pretending that it is so 😄.
