character progression for damian is always welcome. especially having now go into high school. damian kind of doesn't need it for the learning aspect but the social kind. it has a lot of potential to tell new and interesting stories

The big show heel Vs baby face joke made laugh. I liked this first issue. The stuff with Bruce and Damian outside of the costume is more interesting to me than the stuff with them in the costumes. I’m looking forward to Damian going to school. I feel like a lot of superhero comics forget about the everyday life aspects outside of fighting crime and I want to see how the book balances that. Also with Damian going to school I hope it’s a lot like in Batman beyond when Terry was going to high school and trying to balance life as a superhero and as Batman. This is something I’ve wanted to see with Damian for a long time.

Josh even managed to remix the splicers concept from Batman Beyond. I wonder if he’ll have Jon show up for a team here. It would be interesting if Damian started making new friends at school and Jon was the jealous one for a change.

Ayyyy Terrible Trio! Love those mooks! Idk if this was an intentional reference by Williamson, but in The Batman animated show from the 2000s, the Trio showed up there too, and stole Langstrom’s recipe for the Man-Bat serum to transform themselves into monsters too.

It’d be fun if the reason Man-Bat’s on the team is because the trio needed to test if they got the formula right. I like Tynion’s cute, heroic take on Langstrom and hope that iteration of the character isn’t just thrown away here.

so far from this one issue, this is my second favorite modern batman run so far. number one still goes to detective by ram v, but this is a close second.

So far this story has my attention and I am happy to see Damian Wayne Robin and Batman finally be a team even though I notice something with those flashbacks to Damian Wayne robin history and that's no mentioned of his time with Jonathan Samuel Kent as his little 10 year old self and being the super sons, which is odd because that series is actually important to Damian Wayne robin history of his character but that's just my opinion on that subject matter as a whole, with that being said though I am still intrigue on where this batman and robin series is going next especially with this new villian name shush who yes is a hush ripoff but for Damian Wayne robin but on the other hand though i am excited to see more of this father and son dynamic keep on going and where its going next but that's just my opinion.

Not bad at all, I like the progression that Bruce and Damien are going through for sure.
My only thing is, if this is canon then wouldn't Bruce be considered about idk.... Vandall owning Wayne manor and everything underneath it... and knowing who he is....? (Not sure if this takes place before those events or after mind you.)

Great issue of Batman and Robin, no longer at each other's throats after many years and events (Shadow war, Batman VS Robin, death of Alfred from Tom King's run etc...)
