Everything We Know About Dynamic Duo (And Everything They Should Do)

A year and a half after the Brave and the Bold was confirmed for the DCU, confirmed to be about Damian Wayne becoming Robin, another Batman and Robin movie has been announced called Dynamic Duo and this one is a very unique sounding movie. In this video, I wanted to go over my thoughts about Dynamic Duo, where and when it should take place, what I think will happen and what I want to happen.

Transformers One has shown how much character dynamic and arcs can be shown in a movie thats not too long. How 2 characters can be together yet fall apart due to their ideology.

This is exciting especially if it is a prequel to Brave and the Bold. That would give us more information about the characters which makes it more easy to fall in love with them when they finally make it into live action.

James Gunn has confirmed, that Dynamic Duos is NOT part of DCU Chapter One Gods and Monsters, this animated film is an Elseworlds project.

I honestly kind of like the idea of Dick and Jason being around the same age and possibly having a good brother like relationship but went down two different. Kind of like Professor X and Magneto or more recently, Orion Pax and D-16 from TF One. It might not be comic accurate but it would make for a great film if done right.

Mmm night wing being a Superman version of Batman. And honestly making dick and Jason the same age with same roots and showing us how their paths differ to be Red and night wing would be really cool giving me some Tmnt vibes I always craved from the bar family

yeah i hate the idea of Grayson and Jason being the same age. it flies in the face of all the work in comics lately to make it clear Nightwing is the Ideal Batman was meant to be and him being the most natural Leader of the team when Bruce isn’t there and sometimes even when he is. Nightwing being the oldest and also the only one who’s Batman’s true equal is so important to get across in his first Film outing since the dumbass Batman Forever and Batman and Robin movies. Grayson needs love in the DCU he needs to be more important than the other robins. the comics have FINALLY made it there. i don’t want the movies to undo that.

I think Nightwing and Redhood team up would be perfect, make it a buddy cop drama, and focus more on the darker tones, then set up Tim Drake with the Titans towards the end and have Batman in the background, perfect bat family feature film that can rival the spider-verse

This honestly sounds like such a cool idea for a Robin movie and genuinely sounds so creative in style and animation which I truly appreciate that James Gunn is prioritising when it comes to the DCU.
Im truly happy that we're getting an animated Robin movie about both Dick Grayson and Jason Todd which has serious potential. Though Im a bit confused about how this will work in the DCU and with Dick and Jason typically having quite a big age gap between each of them becoming Robin at different times, nevertheless Im letting James Gunn COOK because this has great potential as the premise really reminds me of something like how great Transformers One portrayed Optimus and Megatron's friendship turned rivalry

I truly hope they don't forget about one of the most underappreciated and important Robin's Tim Drake who I do hope plays a role in the DCU.
Id love to see more theatrical animated movies with different styles as part of DC studios like a Flash, Green Lantern or Batman Beyond Animated movie in the same style as Spider-Verse.
