Challenges. We all have them! I've got a seam ripper and I'm not afraid to use it!

Because you asked - The dress I'm wearing is Simplicity 8640 made as kind of a scrap-buster project. It's fabrics which are the same print but different colorways from Hawaii Fabric Mart:

Hi Jen, our son and daughter-in-law bought us a sofa stream for Christmas about ten years ago. I don’t drink pop but I love our sofa stream. We have seven bottles in the fridge all the time. Saves a ton of money. Have a great weekend. Val ❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧

What a week you had! I love the Capri pants fabric, such a shame you aren’t happy so far but if they were slimmer fitting and shorter I’m sure you would fall back in love!

I love your Friday sews. I know it's Monday, but sometimes that's the only day that works for me to listen. Anyway, I love it how you pitch the tried garments, pants are not my favorite either.
I drink a lot of soda water too, my kids got me one, I love it. If you "were" a coke fan you can put balsamic vinegar in your soda water, a mock coke. I like a chuck of lemon. I buy lemons and slice and freeze, then I just pop one in my water like an ice cube. Happy Sewing Jen

Love the dress that your wearing!! I remember we went to Florida for our honeymoon back in just like clockwork....every day at 3pm there would be a big storm and within 15 minutes it would clear out!

Nice to see your wonderful sewing and projects. And yes we all know sometimes we give our best but it doesn't fit perfekt or well. (I am so sorry for my German English) There are some good solutions you could make. Measure your body in high of waist, around your biggest part and if you got a belly from maternity or everything you have to take more space in front of the pants. Bring more or less inches in the paper of pattern that needs time but a pant is always much more difficult as a skirt. Try it on before sewing make a long stitch with your machine so you can correct it very fast. Be careful with overlook sewing. I have always the same problem and so I learn with maternity patterns vintage to correct some bust and belly problems. But our body is OK the problem is the size of pattern every country has its own problems. It's very nice to see your wonderful sewing and to know your happy with your hobby and life.
