Groove Ring Review One Year Later

After one year, the Groove ring had lost much of its color. It had shrunk a lot (to a point where I almost had to cut it off) and become VERY rigid.

These rings cost $40.00 and come with a "lifetime warrantee". They make you pay about $4.00 to send a replacement ring. I think they probably make a little money off the replacement.

I thought it was my imagination that mine kept shrinking!!😂 The paint held up pretty well on my Mossy Oak one but my flowery one started to peel. (I'm female & wear the camo one mainly for deer season but end up wearing it most of the time). The rings definitely should not be $40, even if they were $10 they would still make a killing on them.

They have a really good Valentines day deal right now and most of the rings are $15. It seems like the solid (non painted) rings would hold up/keep their color much longer. I feel like with those facts in mind I feel better with my decision to get a few. $4 for replacement every year or so if needed seems reasonable to me as well! I will steer clear of the painted ones, however

Mine is just like your old one now, maybe 6 months of wear but mine has cracks in the ring itself.

I had the same thing happen! Got a Spiderman groovelife ring and it was just like the new ring but shrank and got really tight on my finger. I almost didn't get it off.

I've gone through 2 of these in 2 years. Yeah... lifetime warranty, but you still have to pay something. First replacement last year was like 5 bucks for processing, this year they want 10 bucks. They say 10 bucks is the processing fee if the reason for replacement is due to normal wear and tear. The ring split/tore after 14 months. I'm not taking the bait, I'm done with Groove rings.

I am shocked at this review and all the comments. What did you expect to happen when you constantly expose a thin piece of rubber to sweat, water, and all other elements over the course of a year? Yes, I do agree it is absurdly overpriced at $40 but it is still a small fraction of the price of a gold band.

Interesting. My wedding ring is the standard yellow gold. The twist is, in order to more closely resemble the wife’s ring, there are diagonal grooves with white gold resembling tiger stripes. The white gold wore out within a year.

I've got 3 of the rings and one of mine definatly has shrank and got stiff just as you explained this is the new way warranties work I guess otter box is the same way

Nice review. Usually it’s my finger that is bigger after one year, not the ring. Someone should make a ring that gets larger over time, not smaller. 😁

I’ve got a white gold wedding band I’ve been wearing for 17 years. It’s worn pretty thin now due to my line of work. It’s been hit with welding spatter, & it has rubbed up against 100, 000 pieces of metal all these years. All the detail on the sides has long since worn off. I can’t get it off my finger because the heat index is 103° right now, but this winter it will slide off, LOL.
