I was playing this song while I was cooking dinner and my grandmother started singing along hitting every note and lyric like it's her song. After the song was done, she asked me where I heard this music from (it's her favorite song when she was young) and I told her a movie played it while 2 characters were dancing. And then she said she wants to see it. I guess I'm watching Guardians of the Galaxy again for the 3rd time!

GOTG was introduced to me by my son who is 9yrs old as of today. Back then he was only 7. He appreciates the soundtrack. Am not a fan of sci-fi movies but when my son hi-lited to me yondu whistles and commanding his arrow slashing the enemy, i'm hooked, then i find my self loving the movie more because of the soundtrack. I didnt know my son has a good taste for movies. Now we both enjoy listening to GOTG soundtrack😂😂😂

I always was a Sam Cooke fan ever since his other song I cherish, "Cupid". I came across this song a few years ago but had no idea it came out in this movie. Such a soulful singer the world lost too soon. I love his velvety voice. Beautiful lyrics with lots of passion. The instruments backing his voice makes it that much sweeter. It was released in 1962, the year of our first Chevrolet Bel Air.
I love listening to this on shuffle in my own car.
