Russian Nuclear Submarines Smash Through Arctic Ice #shorts

Russian missile submarines carrying up to 200 nuclear weapons appear in the Arctic Ocean, demonstrating their ability to carry out their nuclear missions in an emergency.

The submarine, part of Moscow's nuclear deterrent force, broke through the ice several feet thick. In times of war, submarines would hide under the ice from NATO anti-submarine forces.

The exercise took place near Franz Josef Land, an archipelago off Russia's coast in the Arctic Ocean. The islands are only 625 miles south of the North Pole. In March, temperatures range between an average of 8 and 18 degrees Fahrenheit, and the sea is covered with a thick layer of ice.
