How to make LEDs work with a 3 channel radio.

In this Hobby 365 video I will show you haw to make LED kits work with a 3 channel radio. This video suggestion is bought to you by a viewer who asked "why doesn't my light kit work when it is plugged into my receiver" He was using a SLT 3 transmitter and 3 channel receiver.

Here is my story:

My name is Phillip I have been in the hobby industry for nearly 20 years. My radio-controlled adventure started at a very young age, but began to be a priority soon after my father was inspired to purchase a Traxxas T-max from the monster truck scene of the movie Oceans 11 in 2001. I began entry level part-time work for my local Hobbytown store in the fall of 2002 where I found as much love for the customers as my hobby. In 2016, I took on new challenges when I purchased the store from my employer.

The inspiration for this channel came during the covid-19 mandatory closures and the time I spent reflecting on the years and countless customers who asked me to write a book from my knowledge of radio controlled equipment. The original name of the channel was Hobbied. However I quickly found that YouTube’s search algorithms didn’t like the spelling of the name. So I changed the name to Hobby 365, as in, hobby every day. From day one the goal of this channel was to provide useful information without all yammering that frequently comes with how-to and informational videos.

Many of my video ideas come from viewer suggestions. So if you have any suggestions, comments or questions drop them in the comments section below. I really do try my best to answer them.

Can I run my winch off of that same switch on the remote since it is momentary?

I just realized it's momentary after using it for my TRX4. I'm not sure how true it is but I've heard that the transmitter will return to it's bound state anytime nothing is pressed. So if you bind it with that button pressed it should return that way every time you let go of the controls. For me that means I can make my car stay in one of two gears if it works and only choose that second gear when I'm holding the button down.

I’m wondering if one of these 3rd channel light controllers would work on say the element stock transmitter with a 3rd channel switch instead of a button.

No that baton will actually work as on and of switch. but you have to program it in the channel 3 setting it really works on that Spectrum DX3

I bought a yellow Beacon Light that has a harness that's supposed to connect to a channel 3 receiver but I just want to hook it up to a 9 volt battery to put it into a miniature model that I made so I guess my question is how do I eliminate the third signal wire to where I can just have the light powered constantly without a remote signal
