Factoring intuition into our trading. What is an intuition sense?
How important is intuition in trading? Is trading an intution business!? Intuition is one of these things which I reckon that if we master can really help with our trading. But how to distinguish intuition from a chimp banging away randomly? When should we listen to our intuition? As we progress as traders and gain experience we tend to develop a sixth sense - and it is a kind of intuition. It is something in our subconscious that can protect us if we harness it. Intuition In trading and investing: can you trust it? OK.

We are spiritual beings. The material world is a mirror of our mind. We need to listen an inner voice. It's the voice of LIFE ENERGY. Dear Mark thank you soooo much for this lesson 👏🙏

This is actually THE TOPIC traders all around the world should be talking about. Since I've been studing Freud and Lacan, I've found out that all of our psichycal potential depends on many things we are not even aware of. The subconcious is really what determines all of our choices...even the ones regaridng trading. Learning about ourselves is the most profitable thing we can do as traders, and most important, in and for our own lives.
Hopefully I'll soon share what I've found out regarding our psyche in relation to trading. I'm still working on myself... as the phrase above the ancient Apollo greek Temple states: "nosce te ipsum". Good trades to all.
PS: I love your channel Mark and Team!!!

After watching order flow for years in the same market, my most valuable piece of intuition is getting a feeling that my active trade has become vulnerable. When that happens I consciously analyse the current situation and either do nothing, trim the position, or dump the whole thing.

I didn't trust it at first I would just ignore the thought when it came into my head but since then I've begun to trust it more and more knowing how powerful our subconscious is at pattern recognition behind the scenes and it's becoming a powerful part of my edge now.

(I'm a day trader)

P.s. I can usually tell the difference between chimp and intuition by whether my current state of mind is calm or not, being prudent if unsure so as to avoid any emotional pain from getting burned and kicking myself when I didn't have a high level of confidence

I also think that intuition can be a good „edge“ for trading. Unfortunately there are two „drawbacks“: Firstly, intuition depends on your knowledge and experience. That means as a beginner you will very likely only rarely have a gut feeling about your trades. Secondly, for most people it's often very difficult to distinguish between actual intuition and the chatter/emotions/opinions that occurs 99% of the time. Therefore I really like your method that creates a „safe zone“ for subjectivity.

Mark, I know you can't hear from me anymore asking you about this topic... But as I came to a new shorter and clearer plan, I still don't know how to build in the intuition.
For now my idea is that when I am in the state you described in your video "Feel vs. Feeling in Trading" is just to trade from pure intuition (I also was surprised to see I' ve already commented that video even if at that time I was still on "mute" mode in that period 😏 that shows to me how much important and how long this problem exists.) If I am not feeling that way, what they call "in the zone" or "flow state" so just to trade following a new plan. After analisysing my mistakes and the reason of my "frozen" state came out that one of the real exact reasons is what you described here "to trade like a robot", and I already described that in one of my previous comments how much everything inside of me is against that way of trading. Anyway continuing to search on this theme I reread what I wrote already in my notebooks before, some quotes from others great traders and for example Livermore says: " He was as skilled as staying out of the market when conditions are not favorable....As he knew that WHEN HE GOT A GUT FEELING, HE WAS WISE ENOUGH TO FOLLOW IT".... Now, as you talk a lot about self-awareness and EQ lately J.Ross in the chapter about EQ says:" Developing self-awareness requires that you learn to recognize and use what you are calling "gut-feeling". Gut feelings can occur without a person's being aware of them. All too often, people tend to suppress these feelings rather than coltivate them and bring them in forefront.... You have to tune on them and learn to evaluate them. Trading from the gut is one of the best ways you can possibly trade. Becoming more astute in emotional awareness is a fundamental building block of your EQ, " ...so as I can see all great traders questioned this "problem" and looks like all of them recognize the existence and the importance of that feeling.

And I can tell more from others researches about intuition. This feeling is especially strong and quicklier developing in a very sensible and sensitive persons ( this fenomen is described in psychology, but it is long to explain here) and in the persons with high levels of vibration of their own energy (again, it's scientific fact in psychology, long to explain here) and as I am the both of these types, and you are for sure at least the one with highly vibrating energy, it can conduce to the fact that our intuition is strong, true and faster developed. And by the way the fact that we truely love markets and not doing it just for money also can accellerate this process.

I am just breefly sharing with you my thoughts and the knowledge I could acquire till now. For sure you have some more. May be together it will get finally in some brilliant idea on how to add the intuition in the trading...

If I get a gut feeling not to open a trade, about 90% of the time I'm right. Doesn't work the other way though because if I get a gut feeling that a trade will work out, I then second guess that it might just be optimism that I'll make money!

Experience develops your trading. Intuition comes from lots of experience. That is my opinion.

Mark,
It's a joy watching you movies, I learn so much and in fact I opened the aussie spread betting account because of you. I know you coveted this before but for your australian audience, can you make a video on cfd and spread betting comparison. I tried to have the same dollar amount for both cfd and spread betting on gold and indices, but couldn't reach a clear conclusion. Clearly spread betting is better for shares (uk) in my experience. Can you compare both of the systems for australian customers? I understand that in the UK you have tax benefits for spread betting. I don't think we have it in australia. So can you show real time example. Keep the good work, I found you to be the most dedicated professional in the industry, and trust me, I watch only educational videos here! Good on ya, mate!

My intuition tells me that Mark is triggered by the word motherfucker, but I just use that word all the time. I use it to mean dude, man, woman, girl, lover, friend, enemy, whatever. It’s all about context.
