Are you familiar with other forms of synthetic control estimation? Such as, Robust Synthetic Controls which uses Universal Single Value thresholding to de-noise the outcome matrix, fill in missing values, and allows for negative weights? For a paper I'm doing, I'm using an Elastic-net SCM
