Facts Ive been blowing up the last few months with calisthenics alone. People always say "You cant build muscle just doing a bunch of push ups" but these dummies dont realize that just like in the weight room when you add more weight, with push ups you move onto a harder variation once you master the easier one. Your body doesnt know whether you're in the gym or not all your body knows is resistance at the end of the day and pull ups have blown my back up like i was in the weight room lol

I think alot of people increase the weight instead of doing controlled reps and making the same weight more difficult. Form > weight

Imma just say it since no one else is you have to hit 8 reps or above for every set you do of that exercise. Once dat goal has been accomplished then you can increase the weight and repeat the process as you get stronger

Get the two range to closer to 15-20 and then move up to where you can only do 8ish and go from there. It makes it so you have better form because we all know form can break down. It’s still well within the hypertrophic range, some say higher reps are better and definitely safer… look at Ronnie

simple explanation=keep training until sore, rest and eat, repeat

Ok let’s say your rep range is 8. You can hit the 8th rep and next week you choose to add some weight. The thing is, you can only do 4 reps. And note that your only adding 2.5’s

No one answers the question. Do you up the weight because my first set rep range hit this target or do all my sets need to be within

Do we increase the weight when we hit 8th rep once, or when we are able to hit 8 reps on all of out sets?

let's say i'm working on a 5-8 rep range and as i am progressing the first set to 8 are relatively easy.
should i take the first sets further than 8?
and how far? to failure? and how about it affecting the subsequents set?
or should i just stop at 8 and when i can do all sets to 8 simply go up in weight even tho the first sets aren't that challenging?
