Definitely wouldn’t say this is blind but safe. I work at a perfume shop which sells the Michael maluls and 75 percent of people I let smell edgewater hate it. It’s the grapefruit rind / petitgrain which turn people off.

Have you tried any of the others by him? I want to try Terra Nova and Jet Black (I didn't see Blue Ridge) but they are all pretty expensive for a blind buy... .

They've must of changed this up or something. I just bought this, and the only thing I smell is tarmac with a hint of gasoline that last a solid 8 hours. Though to be fair, my sense of smell has been damaged and altered after a bought with covid three years ago. I still can not smell real vanilla in pure vanilla extract, all I smell is the booze. But oddly enough I can smell artificial vanilla just fine. I recommend for people to get a decant of this before ordering a large bottle.

I've owned it since first released and honestly this fragrance that has tons of notes in the pyramid 👈
All I get is lot's of APPLES, TONKA BEAN, VANILLA AND TOBACCO towards the dry down, a very basic scent that's been done many of time's before and easy grab and go men's Fragrance.
Through my experience with this fragrance brand 95 percent of there stuff are inspired by other popular niche or designer fragrance.
