Hinduism: Why so many different philosophies?

preview_player
Показать описание
Hinduism has the broadest range of philosophical ideas. There are theistic and non theistic traditions, those that see God as personal and impersonal.
The reason for this variety is that different Masters have contacted different facets of the ultimate reality and delivered descriptions of it. These descriptions provide a framework for the mind to be guided to the same first hand experience of these Masters.
In this video we focus on Vedanta and describe the different schools from the great acharays (Shankara, Ramanuja, Madva), and explain how each one has approached the ultimate reality in very different ways. This sophisticated setup has allowed seekers to approach Truth in a way that suits their nature.

I live in the U.S. where there is a growing resurgence of Christianity. I show my friends and family your videos and it has made such an impact on their perception of religion. Hopefully, more western people realize the superiority of Sanātana Dharma, and if they do, your videos will surely be one of the key factors.

The comings and transitions from Shankaracharya to Ramanujacharya and to Madhvacharya and their respective philosophies and teachings itself is a beauty of Sanatana Dharma.. Its a living and evolving culture, ideology, religion, civilisation or whatever people want to name it. It allows its followers to think and correct and make it even better. Gives freedom without pulling you back with restrains and false promises and fear through guidelines and laws.

To all Abrhamic faiths, I just wanna say that we even worship stones, rivers, cows, monkeys, snakes, birds, insects, mountains, etc bcoz we believe that creator is not separate in manifestations from creations. We believe God is one, but we don't believe he is in the sky hanging there and watching all from above. haha..Btw why ONE God, we believe in half God, 1/10 God, or even minus infinity God, what's your problem? We don't believe in discreet God, rather we have faith in continuous God that can't be explained in numbers. So better shut up and remain happy with your God without intruding into our affairs. Otherwise you know we will not be tolerant to the intolerant ideologies on the Dharmic principle of Mutual-Respect...Hahaha

What you say idols is actually symbolism which is present in Christianity and Islam too. The only thing is that you keep it unknowingly whereas we keep it knowingly. Now let me tell you why symbolism is important. Notice that I say 'symbolism' important and that too in the initial phase of consciousness, but not mandatory. We believe in evolution, be it scientifically or spiritually, and therefore what we mean by 'Dharma' is not 'Religion' by the Western understanding. But that's another topic.

Symbolism (idolatry) is important for a beginner to concentrate. It's like you need to understand all the fundamental concepts of finite numbers (& discreet) before you try to understand the universal behavior of Infinity (& continuous). Don't you try to master in Arithmetic first before you jump to Algebra? Now this infinity may be analysed in both infinitely bigger or infinitely smaller aspects of cosmos. Therefore we have both outward (Science) and inward (Spirituality) looking approach in Hinduism unlike exclusive Abrahamic faiths which believe only in scriptures and neither in outward seeking nor in inward seeking. The only difference is that we believe in evolution and hence updates and reinterpretation of our scriptures is natural because there's no EGO in our Sanatana Tradition, whereas you think yourself as perfect..Go on..hahaha

This is the essence of SAT Sanatan Dharma the ultimate truth, now we need to propagate this to all Hindus, Jains and Buddhist since most of us are lost in the wilderness by not understanding the basics of our ancient Dharma, but rather succumbed and submerged into what is not our Dharma or foreign mosaic!!!

Shankara actually espouses the path of bhakti to attain the supreme. He didn't reject bhakti nor karma, only emphasized that without jnana there is no realization.

Hinduism not a religion it's a culture of knowledge.... Every human have to face good, bad etc..How control this or face this situation we can understood through knowledge in scripture and poem ..
