Mikhail Tal Needs No Queen

This is one of Mikhail Tal's best games ever, where by going for a queen sacrifice Tal manages to make Black king vulnerable, and once his rooks penetrate the seventh rank, Black's position collapses quickly! A nice attacking game which can serve as a good example of how to organize attack in chess!

Tal was an amazing tactical genius. I still find it hard to believe that I played in a tournament with him! It was the Berlin Summer Open 1985. I was only a "C" player so there was no threat I'd ever play him of course but it was always a thrill to get up once in a while from my game and wander over and watch him play. One of the Polgar sisters was also there...I can't remember which one now.
