(the one in game is cool and all but it doesn't have some of the bells and cannon shots in the actual one, i understand that might be hard to have in game but i wanted an accurate version with g&b's cannons and bells so here it is)

I went to the Pont-au-Double bridge in Paris and stood exactly where they stood in-game. Felt good.

*Your company is low on men and ammo. Moral is at an all time low. You feel a sense of dread as you exit the catacombs. Your company commander orders you to use explosive barrels to clear a way. You do and see two opposing cannons and a high ranking officer on boxes ordering you to defend until a boat can pick you up. As some other people load the cannons you hear a scream ahead of you position. “They’re here”. You think as your commander orders you to hold positions. You start to think you won’t make it back to Corsica and see your kids and wife again. In between all this chaos, distant fighting, and screams from other sectors you hear a melody start to play. Church bells ring in the distance and canons start to shoot. You realise that the city and its population while surrounded and outnumbered stand strong and with back up militias and other armies coming in support. You will make it out no matter what. As your company dies around you your officer orders you to jump onto the boat but with the band and bells playing you charge. In that moment you felt like you were the king defending his nation; fighting a losing battle yet still swinging like some lunatic, you were on top. As you realise your grave mistake and try to go to the boat you notice it’s gone. They left you. With no hope left you charge into the crowd and start slashing and stabbing. You scream but not in pain but in pure euphoria. You feel alive again. You kill several undead but you get grabbed from behind. You feel a sharp pain in your neck. They have you. As you get eaten alive you notice a militiaman on the roof. It was to late for you but he told your story and what you did. Camps in nearby towns and F.O.B’s hear about you. “The crazy bustard” or “The man who stood agents the tide”. The story spread like a wildfire inspiring and boosting the spirits of the men who heard it. With this newly gained moral defences hardened and assaults along the cities streets, roofs, and wells tripled in effectiveness. Your story saved Paris. You saved Paris.”

Vardohus fortress: Pretty much calm, makes it look like the soldiers have to also deal with the freezing temperatures
Catacombes de paris: Gives you a sensation of dread, but gives you a reason to fight, to push the shamblers back and for the ferryman to arrive

Words cant describe how it feels when 6 people (2 gunners, 2 loaders and 2 swabbers) work so swiftly the rest of the team doesnt need to do anything.

across the bridge the cannons are firing to help you out and syncs with the music but you usually dont hear it

i love the detail on this map. If you look closely you could actually see carriages slowly moving away in the back.

I was contribute as a Infantry Line. One of us leading us to make line and firing those bomber while the other become cannon crew and barricade ( Sappers). We almost outnumbered, i thought we gonna lost... But i made a decision, to distract the zombie while the rest of the other making run to the boat. i was able to distract the zombie. And 6 people made it to the boat...

I still get the biggest goosebump whenever i activate my charge at 2:21, aka the very good part. You can feel the intense counter-attack i just triggered with that.

I once used my charge ability and bought some time for my team for like 15 sec until the boat arrived and guess what I died a hero 😭

There is lines of barricades, the zombies slowly but surely breaking through, a few Cannoniers still fire the cannon, some will fire until the last breath, the first line is broken, the cannons still fire and many brave soldiers hold out the line with sabers, the navy men stay behind for crowd control, you can see the boat coming in, the sappers build one last wall the cannons are overun, you are backed all the way back, the zombies are marching towards you, the soldiers holding off the front are dead, the navy men still try and shoot the zombies, the infantry fix bayonets, and you take out your sabre, the zombies hit and the boat rolls in, you jump into the hay bale while a couple soldiers are killed, you are finally rowed to safety
