This is the vorticity field from the numerical solution of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations between two coaxial cylinders. The inner cylinder rotates with constant angular velocity, while the outer cylinder is kept still. The Reynolds number for this simulation is Re = 1000.
The flow field is simulated by the lattice-Boltzmann library Palabos.
