I've started minimalism and it really is a blessing. I've been going through my house and asking myself do I really NEED this? The answer surprisingly has been NO for 90% of my stuff. I then had to ask myself why I bought these things if I don't use them, and they add zero value to my life... it's been an exciting time. I consume less and I'm no longer tempted by advertisements and thus I quit my second job and now have time to spend with friends and family... I don't see how I ever let myself get caught up in the rat race.

I fell in love with this lifestyle when I saw this video and have improved in this journey. Somewhere I was a minimalist inside as I would always declutter, make less sound, don't switch on many lights, reason I got easily moved with this 😇😇

Doing more with less is always good. Being frugal is always good. Not being wasteful is always good. Doing these things of your own free will is always good. Doing these things because you are being forced, manipulated or exploited for another not so good.

I wish my mother were like this. I can't even mention to her that she should sort through some of her stuff because she says that topic is off limits. She has gotten better but she still has much more to improve like actually throwing away shoes that are not even wearable anymore. :(

Okay, I never thought about minimalism applying to sound i.e. quieter movements...interesting concept.

I have heard that "the things you own, end up owning you", so they may be unto something. I like it.

These are really nice ideas. I have way too much stuff and life would be easier with less of it. Also there is something really beautiful about silence.

"man has x amount of clothes"

me: Reasonable

"man have only 150 belonging"

It now became ridiculous. In terms of decoration i mean. I Am the same i very bareboned in terms of decoration and light on furnishing(my electronics take most of all the furnishing) But i mean. thats going overbored.

As stated in the description, minimalism is influenced by traditional Zen philosophies. It's not on the rise in Japan, it's always been minimalist. Columbusing minimalism now, lmao. White people showing us the way again, thank you.

the one thing i dont like about minimalism is that you have to wash clothes more often because you have so few outfits which is expensive and wasteful
