Less clutter???? You really mean Dangerous to use when driving. Just because lots of Manufacturers are doing this doesn't make it right. Give us buttons not Menus and sub menus

I have owned two velars in the past five years. You should be aware that they have a fabulous voice command system for most of the main features, temperature controls, fan speed etc. So it's far from dangerous because one just talks to the car without being distracted. Simple!

This “design trend” has more to do with shrinkflation than it has to do with design. It costs the manufacturers less to incorporate everything in a screen than it does to machine buttons and switchgear.

I personally think that high end cars should have tactile and jewel- like controls. It’s not only more convenient than trying to navigate through screen menus while driving, but if done properly, it doesn’t have to feel cluttered and adds eye candy.

On this car, that big span of nothingness in the centre console now makes it look cheap.

I still prefer the previous velar, especially on the AC control centre,

So when you said less clutter you meant they removed the functionality

They should go back to the rotery knob instead of a traditional shifter it makes the interior cleaner and more unik like they were before.

I've got a 2018 and it looks just as good as this makes me happy because why mess with perfection. I like my interior better

I still love my duo infotainment and rotary knob in the 2018. I won't trade mine for this floating one.

A/C and driving mode selector was such a good idea
And now they've removed it for "minimalistic" look.

trying to navigate a screen whilst driving is a design fault not a design simplification. The company could easily create a master tactile switch/wheel that controls everything but this would cost. I see one screen touchscreens as cost cutting.

I love my 22 plate disco sport is this better?

Shame they’ve gotten rid of the metal speaker grilles and Union Jack perforated leather. Those small details made it feel more premium. Jump in a Grecale and the Italians have left JLR behind

It's the old minimalist/modernist argument... less is more, or is less a bore! Personally, I think the dash looks cheap, like someone has just stuck a tablet on it, without much thought. Be interested to see how easy the interface is to use.

Fail, I need physical buttons and switches.

No one wants to menu dive for basic and frequent functions, so please stop presenting as though having every option accessed through touch screen menus is a good thing.

UV Filters needed while shooting in such conditions

I wouldn't call it "clutter" if it is ergonomically superior to have buttons and knobs for certain functions (alongside a touch screen).

I’m debating making this purchase. It’s a beautiful truck but idk if it’s worth it to buy brand new, and rather a ‘21+ with a $20k discount.
