If you need us, we'll be sobbing over this scene.

This is so scary how one moment she’s distraught and begging him to stay with her and in a second she’s angry with him to the point that it seems she’s going to fight him.
No wonder Carmy is already so stressed out. What a horrible environment to grow up in

The second act of Jamie Lee Curtis’ career has been nothing short of spectacular

This scene is so realistic so many children have to treat their parents like there are children. It is exhausting and poor Carmy he can't even register his own feelings, but he has to regulate his drunken mother's. Poor Carmy 😩

That “do we have a problem” ran cold through Carmy’s veins! It was almost like he was afraid of her in that instant. Perfect acting!

Jamie reminded me so much of my own mother with BPD and Narcissistic tendencies that it made me physically ill watching her in this episode. This episode and this series is so incredibly human

Curtis gave the performance of her lifetime. One of the best episodes ever on tv, and the most intense.

After meeting his mom, it makes so much more sense why Carmy is the way he is. She is broken.

Jamie was amazing this episode, She was so believable as the psychotic mom, Her character needs her own show of her just having meltdowns

I love Jamie Lee Curtis and am so glad she didn't mess up her face like so many other actors. She looks beautiful!!! ❤❤❤ What a talent that woman is.

The sad thing is, parents that act like this will only inevitably spend their last few years alone, with their children trying to stay away from the drama until their parent finally dies.

I know the big hype this year was over Jamie Lee Curtis’ performance in “Everything Everywhere All At Once” but this was her best performance this year in my opinion.

I am the only one who hear Donna calling Carmy "Michael" at 1:51 ?.. and the way he looked at her after that, he didn't even try to correct her maybe bc he was scared of her reaction..? Very heartbreaking

It makes me think of The Bell Jar. Depression has completely taken over, she cannot have a single interaction that isn't distorted by the disease in some way to validate her belief that no one cares about her. This is what happens when you've lived with the disease for a long time, attempting to help is seen as demeaning, not attempting to help is seen as not caring about your struggle. There's basically no way you can be happy because you are impossible be satisfied.
