Thousands of pounds of sod arrive at Eisenhower Park ahead of Cricket World Cup | News 12

A world-class event deserves world-class sod – and that’s exactly what June’s Cricket World Cup at Eisenhower Park on Long Island will have. Nearly 200,000 pounds of sod made the long journey from Boynton Beach, Florida to Nassau County, as workers began installing it at the 34,000-seat temporary cricket stadium being constructed for the event.
