I had lightning skates in the 90's as a teenager. Picking these up again. I'm 40 years old now. I'm still in good shape. Getting back into it. Going for the 90mm.

I skate the white 110 for around 2 months now. Pure love for it! 🖤 I added a second Shockabsorber and replaced the Laces to black ones 😍 #rollerbladelightning #pumptrackinline

I just dug out my old Salomon skates, serviced the bearings and took a ride. They're in pretty rough shape but memories from my youth in the 1990s with a pair of original Lightnings came flooding back. I really miss it and I think a new pair would be great fun. Also need to do something about this gut I didn't have back then.

I have just tried them on my first ride. They feel amazing compared to my previous soft boot skates. The issue for my is quite big pronation and these manage to be comfortable enough. I need few more rides to break the liner and for my feet to get used to new stuff. For now they gave me hope to skate comfortably.

Rollerblade making softboots, K2 making hardboots. I don't even know what's real anymore.

I'm back after long years of not riding. I had Roxa skates in the 90's but always dreamed of Bauer, so now back to that I bought a Rollerblade ;) Apart from the fact that you have to take the size 1cm bigger I have no complaints about the Lightning. The SG7 bearing wheels spin insanely well and you have to be careful not to let your legs get ahead of your head.

Perfect! Now they just need antirockers and some CDS Detroit heel plates.

Would these be good for wide flat feet?

I think that rubbery feeling ratchet buckle thingy is because there is no buckle protection. With that soft plastic it will bend/absorbs with the fall and get back in the normal position and don’t break off or bend in a way so you have to replace it.

My feet are 274mm and 110mm width, was looking at RB80 first but the lightning 90 look so great, nice coloring. Is the width comparable between these models and what size would you recommend since I seem to be between sizes with this model?

How are these as far as width compared to the FR Neo 1s thats coming out?

Can you do a video of going over the different brands and clearing up any confusion around models?

They changed the shock absorber on the Lightnings. The ones on the Twister Edge have notches that can break, happened already on one of my pairs.

Hi. not sure if my question will be answered but I’m trying to decide between the lightning 90s and the lightning 110. i’ll be mostly doing outdoor skating with some rink skating. I’m rusty at skating but i’ve skated for a few years a while back and i’m not a stranger to inline skating at all…. are three wheels vastly different to four.
And if I bought the 4x90 would I be able to buy a conversion to make it into a 3x110 later?

Are the upgraded bearings and wheels of the 90s worth the additional cost?

Which one's would be better for an all round skate that I can do long distances on the FRX 80 or the Lightening 90, it's essentially my first proper set of skates that I'll be learning on, want a quick agile skate

Im looking for more supportive skates. Can anyone weigh in on the support levels of the fr1/fr2/twister xt vs each other?

The skates you said were the same look different but it might be because they are different sizes. The straps were closer on one and the angle and length of the liner cuff at the front looks different although it’s hard to compare with the camera moving so quickly and not holding for a clear comparison. It may not be as different as other skates but it does seem like there is a difference, whether it’s apreciable or not is another question.
