Small typo, the name of the prefecture next to Tokyo with a high minimum wage is kanagawa not kaganawa

If you love maps, have you ever heard of the franco-german show "le dessous des cartes" (litterally "the under maps" or something like that) it explain geopolitical situations through maps

I lived in Japan and I miss it so much. I use to just walk endlessly just looking around and enjoying such a old and different culture

I can't make this up, some of these flags remind me so much of the thousands of companies that originated here, and these flags capture that concept. Love it!

Love what you say at the start :)

Japan is wonderful! Not as into it as I used to be but still love it! Especially Okinawa!

On the minimum wage map at 5:00+ it would be great to add a comment that it's payment PER HOUR (I assume) and convert to USD for anyone's easy understanding.

A note on the map of "Buddhist households in Japan" -- since it went by fast. It represents data from exactly 100 years ago (1922), and also only represents one sect of one form of Buddhism (the Jodo Shinshu "denomination") -- which is the biggest, but certainly not all the Buddhists.

Great video, and thank you for making a video about our country!
One mistake I'd like to correct: 5:06 you mentioned "Kaganawa", which I believe you misread "Kanagawa" (神奈川)- a prefecture south of Tokyo, characterized by port cities in the east and hot springs in the west.

I love your work, and as a teacher of Japanese I will be using this video in classes in the future because it's awesome! Just one small thing I noticed. At 1:16 when you say "In Okinawa..." the arrow on the screen is pointing at Sado Island, not Okinawa. I'm not sure if that's an accident from an earlier comment when you were talking about military bases but it threw me the first time I watched. Maybe changing where the arrow points prior to 1:16 so people don't think you've confused Sado Island for Okinawa Island might help?

Thanks for the great video! from a Japanese🇯🇵
Just wanted to point out, at 5:12 it’s Kanagawa not Kaganawa (I know, it’s difficult), and based on the map, Nara should be light green, not orange, because Nara is located just south east to Osaka.
BTW, the minimum wage has increased from this October, bringing Osaka above ¥1000, while Kochi (along with 9 prefectures) is now ¥853.

This was a great video! You should make a map comparison video on North vs South Korea if you haven’t already.

Oooo - can you do one on Canada (if you haven't already?). I think adding mining (ores, precious metals, oil, gems), forestry, and other natural resource acquisition and overlaying it with territorial control (and maps of First Nations' areas). Also transport - north to south vs east to west, and population /vs/ cost of living /vs/ education /vs/ wealth.
