Kerfing an Acoustic Guitar - A Few Preliminary Pointers

This video supports my book on building an acoustic guitar, and shows the application of kerfing to the guitar rim. Kerfing provides some strength to the guitar body but most importantly provides a glue surface to which the top and the bottom are glued. Without the kerfing, the guitar rim is only 2.5 mm thick; not much of a gluing surface.
