In the US, cell providers don't allow most foreign phones. They have approved lists that one may use and others will not work.
I had a Poco a few years ago and had to resort to a secondary carrier to use it.

Peak brightness is only for watching HDR content.

HBM brightness is for being outdoors in the Sun.

I'm actually a switcher from a Samsung S24 Ultra. I got tempted by the cameras and eventually bought one to try. (Also the fact that Samsung hasn't been innovating lately. Re-releasing the same phone year on year w little changes)...cut to the end the s24 Ultra after 2 weeks with the Honor. This is my first non Samsung since the Note 10. Glad I made the switch!

I really liked the animation with the side apps! Huawei... Humm I mean Honor did a good job there... But I really avoid curved screens since my late Sony XZ3 (it was also slippery af).

Too bad you can't use it in the US. The major carriers have booted most Chinese phones off the towers now. Oppo Reno Ace was one of them, sadly, it was my favorite phone!
