It's impressive how accessible game development has become over the past 30 years, and especially how people have adopted this medium. Like, yeah, not every Sonic fangame is a winner, but there's a definite climb in quality over time as people have analyzed and optimized the process and how game feel really works. It's incredible, really.

That 1993 one is incredible. I saw the full video linked in the description and it has a 3D special stage, and much more accurate momentum & jumping physics than many official 2D Sonic games, it's crazy.

Ultimate sonic flash was the first sonic game I had played on a pc. It's accurate to sonic advance trilogies but had a good screen resolution too.

Respectfully I'm not a huge fan of the games included, like the early versions of SRB2 must have been some of the first 3D sonic fan games of all time. Not only that, but games like Sonic GT, Sonic Venture, and Sonic Onset Adventure were absolutely revolutionary in terms of their gameplay and abilities to stand on their own against official titles, let alone Project-06!
