This is great for explaining it, but how do solve it? For example “Zach helped his dad build a sandbox for her younger brother. The dimensions of the sandbox were 6 feet by 4 feet by 2 feet. How much sand will they need to fill the sandbox?” How would you solve it?

Straight line has one one dimension and curve line has not one dimension
