My 8 year old son watched this video, grew a beard, and raided the neighbors fridge.

Imagine being an English solder patrolling near the river and you just heard this in the fog

For those wanting the lyrics :

Þat mælti mín móðir
At mér skyldi kaupa
Fley ok fagrar árar
Fara á brott með víkingum
Standa upp í stafni
Stýra dýrum knerri
Halda svá til hafnar
Hǫggva mann ok annan
Hǫggva mann ok annan

And repeat :)

.... the fact that Payton is able to not only get into character for what he does... but he feels the emotions that he should in order to make the perfect vocals... a true artist in his natural state of mind is what we have witnessed in this video!!

I love how the language gets tougher the further the song goes. It fills heart and soul with bravery and power. Awesome job!

I like that there's minimal music to this which means you can hear how his voice works so much better. I love this! Officially in love with him.

I added this song to one of my Spotify playlists, not realizing it was in Old Norse. Driving along in my car this song came on, and I was thrown for a moment. To say that I enjoy this version over the English version is an understatement! Something about hearing the lyric in Old Norse makes it a thousand times better, makes it more real. If that makes sense to anyone. Peyton, if you read these, please do more in Old Norse!

It's the guttural growls in his voice that make it real for me. Delightful, invigorating, and just plain BAD ASS. Keep it up sir! Make our Gods proud <3

I can follow right along with this from knowing the English version. Old Norse is just an awesome language.

I listen to this while at the gym. I’ve surpassed many goals and went up in how much I can press, pull, and squat. I still have more to go but something about this just awakens something within me. 💪

So chilling. Anytime I hear old norse or even modern icelandic, norwegian etc chants/songs... it just creates these intense feelings. Like being called somewhere. Can't say that for any other music I've ever heard. Raido, voluspá and helvegen from wardruna and Trøllabundin from eivør... there's nothing to describe it adequately.
