This moment is so underrated because vivi in general is underappreciated but it hits so hard she got us so invested in Alabasta we actually feel for the country and her unlike arcs like wano where honestly I didn't feel much investment, it's fun and all but I didn't feel attached to it sure I got sad here and there but no where as invested as I was for Alabasta's well being and it's all thanks to vivi and how close she is to the strawhats and how much love she shows for the country there's also the fact that it's a shorter arc with less moving pieces which only enhances the investment

her distant voice brought me tears, and that look 0:25 sent chills through my body, the absolute dread and desperation in her face just, left me closing me eyes and crying some more back then, and still now after so many years, the moment is still powerful

Nami and Vivi in this scene was everything .Vivi in shock and screaming her lungs out just for her people not to hear. And Nami the whole arc disregarded her well being and thought about Vivi the whole time. With tears in her eyes she demands Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp to stop the bloodshed no matter what. Because it’s all Vivi wanted and what she and everyone else risked their life for.

OP fan since 1999. I remember how sorry I felt in this part seeing how all her efforts to stop the bloodshed, as well as her shouting, useless. But it shows her true love for her country.
It’s election time again in mine (Philippines), and I hope that our people will not get tricked by the Crocodiles over there. It’s a never ending story, they just change names and faces. We need a Vivi, with the help of Luffy and crew. No more Baroque Works.
