No, the lowest ranked coal is peat coal which consists carbon content less than 60%

We use coal to heat 2 houses and a 2000 sq ft shop in western Canada. Last week we bought 23.5 metric tones of coal. 2200 lb metric tonne of bituminous coal costs $51.00. now we are penalized because we didn't pay the $34, 000 to get natural gas into our yard. Our Canadian government adds on a carbon tax of $128.64 per tonne, then adds on 6% goods and services tax. suddenly the 23.5 tons of coal that cost $1201.56 is now $4443.94 with the taxes. Thank you Mr Trudeau and your Eastern Liberal party.

Lignite, the very reason why they're tearing down Mannheim, a medieval town in Germany for. They have/had a church built in the 1200's that's coming/came down....for Lignite. Shame.
