In the finale of the sword smith arc, Nezuko SHOCKED everyone.

After being exposed to the sun and Tanjiro having to deal with the loss of his sister which destroyed him, every watcher of Demon Slayer episode 11 jumped out of their seats when Nezuko spoke her first words after becoming a demon.

She simply mimics Tanjiro saying “Yokatta” which is Thank Goodness in Japanese, and this was enough to shock everyone.
