The thing about weed is that it's very easy for anyone to grow and make profit off of.
Alcohol is hard to make (relativity speaking) and the sale of it would be harder because the quantity of each liquid would be hard to carry or the streets to sell.
Bottling is difficult aswell.
Its just to sizely vs weed.
You can walk around with 1000$ worth of pot on you be you can't hardly walk around with 100$ worth of booze.

I think Trudeau definitely deserves to be criticized for many things but I actually think that this is a good move I'm actually happy that their legalizing marijuana not so I can do it but just because it being illegal does far more damage then if it were legal .

Teen marijuana use actually went down after legalization in Canada. In fact, use of cannabis in the age bracket of 15 to 17 has been cut in half, down to 10 per cent from the 20 per cent it was before legalization. I guess if everyone is doing it’s no longer just a cool or edgy thing to do tbh.

What a load of CRAP!   You are telling me they never considered the tax money they could make off the legalization of POT.  I bet they spent millions studying the economic impact this legalization would bring -  Just for the fact they lie about this issue you can't believe anything else they say.

What he really did was make it easier for cops to assess fines for a myriad of pot offenses, mostly about restrictions on where you are allowed. By eliminating the criminal charges there is no longer a burden of proof necessary to collect fines. You really have very few places where smoking pot is allowed and buying pot now is taxed.

Nothing will change. The kids will still get it from their same suppliers and continue to share it. It will still be used by young kids and there will be no windfall for the government coffers.

Prohibition is the problem in general.
You want to help people with addictions and or their problems that’s fine. But, it’s never been about that. It’s about giving 💰 & power to both criminals and the law and order industry

It's a no brainer:) Seriously people will buy it so you may as well let them choose the strength. You don't go into a bar and the barman pours you a pint of 'whatever'.

The main reason is to take the business away from organized crime, bikers etc... and make tax money for the federal government.  If these groups switch to sending it south it becomes international crime which the USA will go after really hard. With criminals being transferred into American jails. I suspect average Canadians will just grow there own.

Protecting children is only a by-product of legalizing marijuana. The REAL reason to legalize pot is that it is NONE OF THE GOVERNMENTS BUSINESS!
