Early hints proving Reznov was fake.. (BLACK OPS 1)

There is also another hint: When Reznov appears after Vorkuta, if you shoot him, you won't get Friendly Fire Will Not Be Tolerated message.

Another detail is in the mission Crash Site. After Woods finds the china lake and map in the plane wreck, Reznov says “Kravchenko, he must die.” But Woods and Bowman look at mason while Reznov says this, and Bowman replies, “Okay Mason… let’s go.” Pretty sure it’s implied that Mason is the one saying some of Reznov’s lines.

I would say the Reznov is up there with the most iconic Cod characters. And my favorite quote of his: “Dimitri ride on one of the tanks, you have earned the rest. Chernov, you have not, you walk.”

Another detail in The Defector mission; when you first meet Reznov, he's holding a Commando AR. While it could simply be assumed that he had managed to loot one somewhere, it makes a bit more sense when you remember that Mason's second gun in the mission, assuming you didn't trade it out, is... a Commando.

I'm pretty sure Reznov basically just boosts Mason's adrenaline, and is caused by a adrenaline spike. Which is why he only shows up during moments of extreme stress.

You miss a hint in the "Payback" mission, when Bowman was killed, later on Manson and Wood managed to get out of the captive and find a hidden base. The pair freed some other US marines and Manson encountered Reznov, who was taken POW here. Manson and Reznov moved out while Woods said "Mason! What the f*ck are you doing?! We gotta get these guys out!", as if he didn't see Reznov coming out and fight with Manson. So yeah, another hint that Reznov wasn't there

I remember in my first playthrough when Hudson spilled the truth, is that I utterly refused to believe Reznov was dead and was never with us after Vorkuta. Such a godlike COD campaign.

Another cool little hint to Reznov being a hallucination was his personality… like you said in the video Reznov was super charismatic, but when mason saw him as the defector he became more monotone and very obsessed with the 3 men, even his remarks to mason became more objective focused as opposed to the morale boosting hero we knew in WaW and Vorkuta.

When I played through I thought it was weird Reznov kept showing up in random places. However when I started to realize he wasn't really there was when he showed up in the tunnels with you and Swift and it was confirmed to me when you infiltrate the facility, if you get spotted, the guards will only shoot you as Reznov just stands there

Another detail: Only in the missions "Vorkuta" and "Project Nova" does he have the signature missing right index finger. Every other time you see him, he has all fingers intact.
