The audiobook for House by the Cerulean Sea was so wonderful, I loved the characters anyway but each kid got a different voice and it was so lovely 😊

Oh this first book reminded me of Neil Gaiman's "Good Omens", one of my favorite books of all time. Now I wanna read "The house in the Cerulean Sea" so much!!

Everything I hear about The House in the Cerulean Sea makes me wanna get my hands on it more. Also, you just perfectly explain why I accidentally DNF romance books so often...unless there’s sufficient tension holding it together, if they bang at like, 30-50% of the way through, I...lose interest oops lol. Either that or I know something is about to go horribly wrong and drive them apart, which just annoys me. 😂

I also read the Veronica Speedwell series after seeing you talk about them and I love them! I am just waiting for the fifth book to come 😊 I think Kill The Queen is part of a trilogy? I have added them on Scribd 🙈

I love Sherry Thomas. I haven't read her Sherlock Holmes series, but I've read her historical romances and I love her writing style. My fav books from her are "Private arrangements" and "Ravishing the heiress".

Hearing you explain the first book you read, it reminded me of Scythe. Probably because I’m reading the second book in the series but still, it sounds kinda like Scythe. Definitely gonna add it to my goodreads TBR. Also the baking reminded me of The Originals (a show).

I’m currently listening to “the lovely war” right now based on your recommendation and I don’t typically enjoy anything historical. I’m only 25% in and I’m obsessed with it and love Aphrodite!!
