Great KO by Donaire. Montiel was a great boxer and is one of Doniaire's greatest victories along w/ Darchinyan. Donaire always had a great counter punch (he had a great one around the 2 minute mark of the 1st Round before the KO in the 2nd).

I wish he made use of his jab a bit more and worked on 3-4 punch combinations from time to time. To me, he never used his jab to score on his opponents as much (2/31 in this one for a 6.5% connect rate) but instead was used to set up his hook. When he began to slow down and when he goes against younger boxers or more defensive-oriented ones, they can combat his style easier.

1st ballot HoF no doubt. I live in Vegas, I know some filipino guys who ran into Donaire at a club in Vegas. They all ended up going back to his house, had drinks around the pool, apparently he's just a super chill, super nice down to earth guy. Really happy he's had such an amazing career and it's still going!
