I loved this book! It taught me how the code actually works not just how to write it, and the excersizes were very constructive for applying new knowledge. Absolutely amazing book I highly highly recommend it for anyone new to programming

I tried reading this book like last year, but it was too much at like few chapters in, barely read 10-15% of it. I think I should start it again; it is hard but it shows very much complicated stuff and it is explained well.

Got this a couple of months ago, mostly finished a project. Will learn about using hooks and spend some time between this and Django For Beginners by William S. Vincent.

I actually have the first version too, but figured to get the new one. The new one is *much* longer/thicker (thicc) than the first edition. Much knowledge.

I heard about this book... Dose this book cover ES6 concepts? (If it’s released in 2019 I’d imagine so) and what’s your top JavaScript book of this one happens to be your second favorite JavaScript book?

So when you read this book do you just read or do you code it as well? And when you code it do you cover it and try and code it or do you kind of code along?

This book is by far better than their last edition. The last edition made me want to stab my eyes out with a rusty ice pick. In reality, if there is ever a viable replacement for JavaScript, I will find the eternal happiness my soul desires. For now, we must continue to deal with the from-under cheese that is JavaScript.

I think JavaScript is hard because you got many different ways to write and it could look very confusing.
