Creality CR-6 SE is here. Creality's first kickstarter is overall a good machine. Watch Jason as he covers off the features and runs some test prints.

I've had mine almost a month now and really like it. No problems. The leveling touches the switched nozzle to the bed at each set point. It's nice

Bed levelling is not optical, it uses a load cell connected to the hot end to detect pressure on the nozzle when it touches the bed.

I bought one of these about the time you made the video, but never got around to using it, as my Ender 3 was serving me fine. I finally got around to putting it together the other day. It went together quickly and smoothly. I then plugged it into my laptop, in order to check & adjust / calibrate the e-steps, and, guess what - the computer does not recognize / cannot find / locate the printer. Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas. I am having a similar problem with my Ender 3. The original main board finally gave out, so I replaced it with a BTT SKR Mini E3 v2.0, and guess what - the computer no longer recognizes it either. It was recognized & I was able to communicate with it, when the original Ender board was working, but not with the new one. Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas on this issue also?

Bed leveling is done with a strain gauge not an optical sensor

Thanks for this good review. I have mine for 2 months an like it as well except that it is very noisy even when it is not printing. The noise comes mainly from the PCB Fan that runs in permanence with a rather high pitch. I have noticed on the video that we could almost not hear the fans of your unit and I am wondering if my printer uses different parts. My PCB is also a creality v4.5.2 and the reference of its fan is CHA6024RL-15B. The problem is even worth when the PSU fan kicks in. it is almost not possible to work in the same room. I am wondering if others have the same problem and if there are two version of the CR6 SE?

you need to do your homework on the printer. your bed leveling device you showed is a led light and bed leveling is done with a strain guage that the hotend mounts to . This is avery good printer out of the box and was a great deal on the kickstarter.

I would not get this printer yet, I backed the Kickstarter and had to replace the switch because the printer would not boot, then there is hot end issues with cracking. Printer been down a month. Wait until they fix mother boards blowing up and sensor issues and switch and the hot end cracking.

I don’t think right out of the box 📦 any other printer can print this good. Love mine.

The LED is NOT for bed leveling, it is just for light.
The bed leveling on the CR-6 SE is using a strain gauge to register when nozzle touches the board.

No optical sensor for the bed levelling its just a blue led light.

Great video. Glad you all are back. Is the STL file for the tree for sale?

Thank you for this informative video. I wish you had shown the correct procedures for filament loading and selecting a file from the SD card. I'm experiencing trouble on those with my new unit and I was hoping to see how to do them properly. But apparently SD card problems are very common on these and I may be fighting motherboard flakiness.

nice review but you need to paint the wall a darker color so it is easier for us to see what you are doing.

The led is not a bed leveling sensor. Leveling is done by a piezzo.

I think you need to update the video, it's not a optical sensor, it's a strain gage.

Yeah... all the various adjustments needed convince me this technology is still very immature. I think most consumers should wait a few years.
