My groups uses a variation of Inumaru where everything is the same except the bird placements. We have the birds to to the bridge opposite to their platforms which requires no thinking and is an extra level of safety

For far war can't the bird tether opposite the empty bridge just point it away (NW in the image) and both minotaur tethers just cheat toward the empty bridge to make it super comfy?

Mine does a modded inumaru where birds go across the bridges so it hits nobody but the bull and yak bits are the same. I like it far more than far war

On "Far" strat, have the top left bird player aim outside of the arena instead of going to the bridge, and it will be possible for south bull tether to move all the way to the right. (Might be a bit more to remember since it's not exactly "Far" for everyone anymore)

I think far away war is a tragedy and have clue why people do it.

The second strat you do will a caster ranged to 1-shot die most of the time if they get the mino tether. Bullish Slash when pulled that far does around 90k-95k damage with week 2 gear because Casters have the lowest P. Def armor in the game, and you've got around 62k health with food, so you need at least 35k worth of shields and/or mit to live through it, especially if the Bullish Slash hits on the high end of the damage band.

I died as a summoner with Eukreasian Prognosis, Divine Veil, and Radiant Aegis giving me over 30k shields while at full health because Bullish Slash hit for 95k that time, despite being all the way to the edge of the platform. We reviewed the videos and logs and determined the only way I could have survived is if someone saved and popped on me a single target mit or even more shields in addition to the over 30k I had.

Generally, healers can kitchen sink a bit more mit on themselves once they realize they have mino tethers, but I've never seen a SMN, RDM, or BLM survive War Minos in that configuration unless they have funneled gear. They definitely need more than the 10k of shields you imply in your video.

Inumaru I find rarely works in PF. The same issue occurs where someone is slightly off with bird/bull tethers and they get clipped by the cone, or there isn't enough mitigation and the bull tether kills the DPS player, or people not reacting fast enough to get into position and snapshotting. It's just a tight mechanic overall, I think it's easier to do All Far with the adjusted raidplan.

i dont get why people like doing far war so much when there's so much more free room in Inumaru to avoid clipping

Instructions unclear accidently killed Healer as bird. xD I think All Far is much easier to figure out where your suppose to go. This one requires a bit more thinking on where you place bird. Since bird needs to be pointing out but not getting cleaved. It gets a bit complicated. Also minos need mitigation. Just my personal preference, I still have to do both since pug life.

Can the south melee/tank hit the boss in the far strat from there? I feel like it'd make more sense to put a ranged/healer there with less risk of cow tether clipping.

Inumaru is the best, honestly.
Japanese strats are always so optimized, clean, braindead/simple and considerate of best uptime as much as possible for everyone including melees and BLM.
