If you watch the full video, this is NOT what happened. The guy did not put the fish back and it was in fact the employee asking him to not touch the fish because he was coming down to pick the bass back up and give him a check up after such a fall. The bass was also bleeding from his gills. You should not just throw your fish back into its tank after a fall like that. Also. The lady screaming wasn't a karen, she was just repeating what the employee was saying, albeit she was frantic and louder than the employee.

The reason she is yelling .... you should always wet your hands before handling a fish. Never handle a fish with dry hands. Handling a fish with dry hands can take the protective slime coating off of a fish. And then it can get skin diseases and die. She had no idea how he'd grab it. Bass can survive ten minutes out of water.

As far as handling it by the gill don't know about that.

1 the fish was prolly injured due to that fall and prolly woulda died off or been eaten the second it hit the water
2: that karen was an employee aware of the situation and instead of wanting either of those to happen told him not to put it back
3: this mans told many times to not toucb the fish and leave it on the floor for many reasons like the fact its a priority to check them out and SANITIZE THE FISH FOR GERMS before returning it to the place… so whos really in the wrong here?
