This chapter is one of the most unique you can find. Known as the “Eastern Ghosts”, they were first mentioned in Imperial Records around M35 and specialize in many fields. In one campaign, they are Elite Sharpshooters and guerrilla fighters, able to wear down their enemy with ease. In another, they conduct mass infantry formations, along with Armored and Artillery Units, overwhelming their opponents. They are also known for intelligence gathering, reconnaissance, and psychological warfare. Even though their homeworld of “Vitor” is a forgeworld and have close ties with the Mechanicus, they still use and maintain centuries old wargear. Their origins are unknown, but many say they are of Space Wolves genestock and are known to give away alcohol or “vodka” as they call it, to any Guardsmen regiment they are assigned with. Others say they are of Traitor stock, specifically Iron Warrior genestock due to the fact that they are able to maintain near full Chapter strength with their world being mostly frigid and filled with densely forested areas, teeming with wildlife. But none of these rumors bored any fruition. Another interesting note is they squat while in prayer and call their neophytes “gopniks.” The battle-brothers are known apply three whites stripes on their helms to signify they’ve been baptized in fire. Their Chapter Master has a crude sense of humor that permeated through out the entire Chapter and carries an Artificer grade sword known as the “Blyat Blade”

Relations- The Eastern Ghost have fought alongside some of the Imperium’s finest heroes, but that does not mean they are friendly with all. Especially giving the cold shoulder towards their Astartes brethren. One example of their callousness, when on a campaign with the Ultramarines and Salamanders in a nearby sector, fighting Chaos Cultists and a small band of Heretic Astartes. On the final assault, without warning, the Eastern Ghosts charged towards the enemy with full force. While incurring heavy casualties, they broke though and scattered the enemy. However this exposed their allies flanks, allowing the fragmented enemy to fire upon them. Many were severely wounded and afterword, the Ultramarines and Salamanders confronted the future Chapter Master then Captain Ivor the Brute, he remarked that “It is our duty to see it through the end, no matter the cost.”

There relations with Imperial Guard are much better, having gone out of their way to assist them on more then one occasion. They allied themselves with the Cadian Shock Troopers in taking down a rebellious Planetary Governor and helped the Mordian Iron Guard resisting an Ork Waaagh. They worst relationship is with the Inquisition, particularly the Ordo Xenos. The Inquisition were planning to arrest a Planetary Governor suspected of consorting with Dark Eldar. On the eve of the arrest, the Eastern Ghosts, who were previously investigating the Planetary Governor themselves. Attacked his residence and killed him in the process, this angered the Head Inquisitor. However the Watch Commander, who was an Eastern Ghost himself, pleaded with the Inquisitor on behalf of his Chapter.

Notable Characters: The Eastern Ghosts in its long tenure of service have produced some of the most capable Space Marines that have ever lived. To start off, we have the Chapter Master, Ivor the Brute. Born and rasied upon Vitor, Ivor was destined to journey across the stars for glory. He gained the moniker of "the Brute" from his supernatural strength, even before becoming an Astartes, he was a menace to anyone that crossed him. He completed his neophyte training and officially joined the Chapter on M40:857. Ivor rosed through the ranks, gaining the rank of First Captain in 9 decades. He came aross his signature weapon, the "Blyat Blade, " on a Space Hulk, during his short career with the Deathwatch. (Ivor was returned to the Eastern Ghosts due to behavioral issues and his constant binge drinking with the Space Wolves.) He came back with honor and elevated to the rank of Chapter Master, shortly after his predecessor was killed in action fighting Orks. Now on to Ivor's closest friend, High Chaplain Nikola. The two have been friends since their neophyte days and have always looked out for eachother since. Nikola didn't seemed to fit in with the rest of his battle-brothers or the Chapter itself. He did not drink and always taughted temperance, a stark contrast. His philosophy came to a head when Ivor took over and his crude humor spread throughout the Chapter. Many of the newer marines started to pick up on Ivor's humor, much to the dismay of Nikola. There is also Cheif Apothecary Borya who is credited in saying "patrolling the Ultima segmentum, almost makes you wish for an Exterminatus." The Cheif Apothecary has had a rivalry with the Ultramarines for some and was not a result of the Chapter Master's actions during his time as 1st Captain.

Notable Campaigns- The Eastern Ghost have served the Imperium for millennia, acting as the bulwark against the ever encroaching hoards of enemies. The Chapter have fought in many theaters of war such as the Badab War, War for Armageddon, and the defense of Cadia are but some their exploits. One of their greatest campaigns was during a conquering of a Feral World, the Eastern Ghosts had a two-thirds of the planet in their domain, when a Kabal of Dark Eldar attacked them. They were equipped to fight insurgents, but not xenos. However their doctrine emphasizes mobility and adapting to any situation, allowing them to quickly develop a strategy against them. The xenos were routed and accomplished securing the planet.

Current setting- With the return of Roboute Guilliman, the commencement of the Indomitus Crusade, and the arrival of the Primaris Marines. The Chapter has had more involvement in any other millennium before hand. Especially with the fall of Cadia and the Imperium being separated in two, allowing Chaos to run rampant. The Chapter shall move forward with honor and veracity like it has for centuries.
