My only issue is that as soon as you enter the trade any upside movement on your position they consider it profit, even if you haven't close the position so if you are in profit at any point and decide not to take it, and the position comes back on you, your new Trailing Threshold is based on the highest point of that trade, so as an (extreme) example if you enter a position and you go up $2500 and you don't take profit and it comes back to break even, well now you are screw because now you blew up the account even if realistically had $0 drawdown. I get is not just Apex alot of prop firms are doing it, but feels scummy to me

So on my 50k pa if i have 60k and loose $3, 500 I don’t have to worry about the $2, 500 drawdown because the drawdown stops at $52, 600? So essentially anything over $52, 600 is “padding”?

I’m 395 off of passing and my threshold is at max threshold is making me profitable it really puts you in a position to take smart trade with low risk

people have a misconception when it comes to what is the best account size for a beginner traders . If a new trader takes the 50k account he or she will blow up the account right away because the trailing drawdown is too small for a beginner . In the other hand if a new trader takes a 150k account, he or she will have better chances of passing the evaluation because of the bigger trailing drawdown . that is exactly how these prop firms make their money by selling the 50k account to new traders .

Man idk I passed my eval got PA account paid signed documents everything was good I didn't know that it stayed on demo account while trading a PA I was up over 2k on a 25k account didn't pay attention to the account anymore as I thought I'd get another tradovate account being live so I let a trade active on that demo account it got liquidated and now I have to take the eval and pay again for the live

So essentially the trailing DD on the PA is $2600 on a 50K account… on the evaluation it’s $2500

As a trader who trusts my analysis to the max and doesn’t constantly close positions the moment they’re in the green, live trailing drawdowns just aren’t it for my style of trading. Once got a funded account that lasted one trade (profitable mind you) before instantly breaching said account on the second that was only down by $40.

@forrestforce. Can you give some advice on how to organize my rithmic accounts in Ninja? If you choose an account within the control tab, it won't automatically populate in the drop down menu when you go to make a trade and they aren't even in the same order visually. Today, I accidentally traded an account that I had passed but hadn't signed and then it was not longer passed. Keeping track of these accounts is difficult because they don't even allow you to rename them, they just differ by the last two digits in a long big A-s number!

Trailing stop learned me to take profits. If you get out of a trade with limit, your DD will stay at max, so no problem, no scam ✌️😎
