Looks like they're trying to capture the classic Flieger case design.. most notable today are the higher end ones that Laco still produces that look like this. It's rather raw and no-nonsense design, as they should have been for wartime purposes back in ww2. But, pretty cool if you don't mind that look. Just have to keep that context in mind when wearing such a design.

i like these fliegers even though they don't wear that well.. also you can't get this case unless you go for the much more expensive laco models..

This is a beautiful watch and it is available in bronze as well, which looks even better! Also with a SellitaSW200. I have similar but smaller watch like this from San Martin (39mm) in bronze and absolutely love it!!

The rivets on the strap may have been hand fixed. In that case it’s easy to not centre the tool or anvil perfectly in which case you get dents.
In fact finding decent rivets that are short enough and a tool that doesn’t touch the other rivet beside the one you’re fixing is difficult.

Not a bad looking Flieger. I'm digging the darkness of those hands. Great vid as always. I have an idea for a future video though, a request really if I'm being honest. I would love to see a list of, what is in your opinion, the best non-homage/original design watches from Ali Express. I'd love to pick some up in the upcoming sale.

The case is fairly close to the Laco fliegers....i wish these were a bit bigger, 44-45mm...i just can't pull off 41-42...the bronze version they have of this watch looks amazing also.

I agree with you about the lugs on that pilot one. They need some curvature or something.
I have their Aquatimer homage, and I think it's one of the best watches on AliExpress.

A "dash" of subtle colour such as blued surround on the hands may have lifted the design somewhat. Other than that ya gotta love a flieger!

Pretty cool flieger, definitely like the fully lumed dial. The case is quite interesting as well and I appreciate they managed to match the case to the buckle.

I have become disillusioned with the PT5000 movement. I have three watches with this movement, and have had issues with all of them.
The first, a San Martin Datejust clone, has a stem that was cut a bit too short, with the result that it only reliably dropped into the winding position when the screw-down crown threads are almost engaged. As a result, I often find myself changing the date while screwing the crown down after setting the time.
The second, a Cronos Subbie-ish watch, had to be returned when winding it caused the winding weight to spin. This is a common problem, usually due to crud in the automatic winding works.
The third is a second generation Escapement Time pilot watch, needed a new ratchet wheel after about a year. An easy repair, but still...
All these things seem to be the result of sloppy QC on the part of three different manufacturers, and likely inadequate cleanliness standards on the part of the movement maker: they require minor repairs, but if you cannot do this yourself, it can get expansive.

I have the subby homage. The bezel action is not as high quality as you would expect, flimsy. And a bit misaligned. The clasp is not bad in itself, but I haven’t figured out how to adjust the micro adjustments.. All in all, Cronos is a better proposal with the glidelock and better bezel. Or Seestern.

Hmmmm it's a miss from me, the full lume makes the face look a bit poundland imo.
A very German Laco basic pilot watch for around 100gbp more looks much better finishing with a very pretty open case back and who wouldn't want that!

I appreciate the watch strap very much like a dirty dozen type watch would rock, yep the watch itself looks very good so imo id definitely wear one.
