Hey Jamie, thanks for all the informative videos! I used to DJ years ago, old school turntables and mixer, at the warehouse parties in London. Recently decided to get back into it after a 10 year hiatus and ordered myself a Traktor S2 mk3. While waiting for it to be delivered I’ve been watching your tutorials to get myself back up to date with the modern tech, so cheers!!

You know what would be nice? Is if they had a mixer to where you could set the isolation on the individual frequencies so if you wanted to keep your highs and mids on the eq setting but set your low on the isolator mode that would be sick because then you could use and shape the different eq the way you want and you could filter in and out the different frequencies how you want

Thanks Jamie, I have the Prime 4 and noticed that these could be changed in the settings, but has no idea why I would need to change them: it all makes sense now!! :-) cheers

Very interesting, I’m quite new to modern DJing and I never thought about that before

I also saw that setting underneath called eq type. It had the option for 900nxs or 900nxs2. What's the difference?

Thanks for sharing. Im a bedroom Dj and have been playing with my eq on normal. But the sound and blend when mixing, sound much better on isolate 👊

Thank you for including the Prime 4 and Denon in this video. I was wondering why my sessions were sounding "off" and assumed it was just a kind of learning-curve for different software/hardware than I've grown accustomed to.

Cheers mate - good advice here. I checked out my DJ808 and, while Serato does not have the setting, I am glad to report that the unit is 100% kill.

Cool video, I have the Pioneer SZ and the EQ is full cut. So ISOLATOR setting.

Total kill is the only way to go. Pair that up with a 4 band eq and your set. I never noticed the difference, till I sold my DJM-800 for a XONE 92 a few years back. Now the DJM-V10 has implemented the 4 band eq, and I can't wait to use one.
